We’ve introduced a powerful enhancement to our notification system, giving you more control and context when communicating rescheduled deliveries. You can now configure specific SMS alerts based on the reschedule attempt number and include dynamic details like the reschedule date and the reason for the reschedule.
β¨ What’s New?
β
Conditional SMS Based on Reschedule Attempt:
A new dropdown menu, “Reschedule Attempt,” has been added to the Reschedule status notification settings. This allows you to trigger an SMS only for specific attempts. You can select one or more of the following options:
* Any Attempt
* First Attempt
* Second Attempt
* Third Attempt
* Fourth Attempt
β
New Dynamic Tags for SMS Content:
Two new tags are now available to provide customers with more detailed information in the reschedule SMS:
* [reschedule_date]: Automatically inserts the new date scheduled for the delivery.
* [reschedule_reason]: Automatically inserts the reason provided by the rider for the initial delivery failure (e.g., from “Failed to Deliver” or “Return to Destination Warehouse” statuses).
* [reschedule_attempts]: Automatically inserts current reschedule attempt count.
How It Works
These new settings can be found under Settings > General Settings > Notifications > Status Notification > Reschedule. Configure the SMS content using the new tags and select which reschedule attempt(s) should trigger the notification.
Key Benefit
This feature provides greater flexibility and transparency in your customer communications. By sending targeted and informative alerts, you can reduce customer inquiries and improve the overall delivery experience.
Important Note: This enhancement is currently available for SMS notifications only.
