We’re excited to introduce a powerful new setting designed to save you time and eliminate confusion when handling parcels that are received at origin warehouses due to an “Invalid Destination.”
✨ What’s New?
You can now bypass an unnecessary step and directly receive a received at origin warehouse – Invalid Destination parcel at its correct destination warehouse. This fixes the issue where orders would get “stuck” in the system, even when the physical parcel was ready for processing.
✨ Why It Matters (The Problem Solved)
- Previously, when a parcel was received at the Origin Warehouse because of an invalid destination, the system workflow was rigid:
- The order status would get stuck at “Change Destination.”
- The system required the Origin Warehouse to mark it as “Dispatched from Origin Warehouse” again before it could proceed.
- Often, the physical parcel would be sent to the correct destination, but if the “Dispatch” step was missed in the system, the parcel remained stuck. This created a mismatch between the parcel’s real-world location and its system status, causing delays and confusion.
✨How It Works Now
- With our new update, the process is simple and intuitive:
- When a parcel that was a received at origin warehouse for an “Invalid Destination” arrives at the correct Destination Warehouse, you can now directly mark it as “Received at Destination Warehouse.”
- The system will no longer block you. It will intelligently update the status, bypassing the old “Dispatch from Origin Warehouse” requirement. This ensures the system status instantly matches the reality, allowing you to continue with your workflow without any delays.
✨How to Enable This Feature (For System Admins)
- To activate this new, efficient workflow, a system administrator needs to enable one simple setting:
- Navigate to Settings → Status.
2. Select the “Change Destination” status from the list.
3. In its manage settings, find and turn ON the new option: “Allow direct transition to ‘Received at Destination Warehouse’.”
4. Click Submit to save the changes.
(Note: Ensure that the “Allow False Branch” setting is also enabled for the “Received at Destination Warehouse” status for this to function correctly).
